Lynette Jennings Foundation Art For Life

Our Mission
To explore, enlarge, develop and promote the significance of art in today's society.

"Frameworks" Art, Artists and Society
This program is a collaborative series of conferences and workshops designed to encourage dialogue and discovery for artists' personal and social strategies. These will address the needs and opportunities in the contemporary visual arts interface within our current culture. 2006/2007 conferences include the cross pollination of various arts disciplines, the role of criticism in initiating a richer cultural dialogue beyond process and personality, and the reintegration of functional arts into popular culture. "2nd Battle" Recovery Through the Arts
This program is for post-adjuvant therapy wellness, for those in cancer treatment and recovery. It includes the provision of retreats at Eagleheart Center for Art and Inquiry, the development of arts programs for other rural retreat/oncology centers, and a national campaign to provide "2nd Battle" awareness to oncology physicians and care givers in national and regional cancer centers. "Legacy" Arts in Education
This program is designed to bring experiential arts learning into the core K-8 educational curricula of our public schools, through a visiting artists system, with the objective of teaching our children to "see", to promote analytical thinking in all other areas of learning, and to engage the appreciation of the hand/heart connection for life.
